I have been actively involved with this extraordinary organization since 2014, with the goal of supporting and empowering families through their journey from preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and early parenting. From being a founder of the breastfeeding support program to now vice chair of the executive board, it has been a labor of love. Every family we have impacted makes it worth it.
Breastfeeding Friendly University Initiative-BFUI
Breastfeeding has long lasting health benefits for both mom and baby. However, many challenges can arise that can shorten the duration of breastfeeding. One of the most common challenges is having to go back to work or school. Through the implementation of BFUI we seek to help support breastfeeding mothers, specifically at Kuwait University by providing facilities and services that support the continuation of breastfeeding and overall promote mother-friendly policies on campus.
