Background and Education

 

Dr. Fatima A. Boujarwah is the Acting Chair of the Department of Information Science and Kuwait University. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Georgia Tech with a specialty in human computer interaction. She also holds a Masters degree in Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania. and a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Fatima has a passion for developing technologies that positively impact her community. She has done research in a variety of areas, including:

  • technology to support children and adolescents with autism

  • accessibility research

  • health informatics

  • technology to support infant and maternal health

She is always looking for opportunities to leverage the power of technology to do good, solve problems and improve people’s lives.
